A Dallas native, Dr. Stuart attended Mesquite High School where he played football for the Skeeters and graduated as Salutatorian. He then attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Spanish. Returning to Dallas, he completed medical school at UT Southwestern before heading south for residency in orthopedic surgery at UT Medical Branch in Galveston. After residency, Dr. Stuart completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the renowned Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI) in Van Nuys, California.
Specializing in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle, Dr. Stuart also performs joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and general orthopedics. While at SCOI, he was trained in advanced surgical procedures such as arthroscopic allograft rotator cuff reconstruction for massive rotator cuff tears and Latarjet reconstruction for shoulder instability.
Dr. Stuart has a special interest in medical missions and has treated patients in Yucatan and Juarez, Mexico, as well as Machala, Ecuador. He also served as an emergency responder when Hurricane Ike ravaged Galveston Island in 2009.
Dr. Stuart is the primary surgeon at the Dallas Medical Center Location and also sees patients at the Baylor Downtown location.
Our Board Certified Surgeons provide comprehensive care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries. We provide state of the art diagnosis, nonoperative and operative care, and rehabilitation for patients with orthopedic injuries. Our mission has expanded to take care of not only patients with sports injuries, but also patients with other orthopedic conditions such as osteoarthritis and fractures.
We care for professional athletes, college and high school athletes and weekend warriors! Our physicians have all been athletes and several are world class or former professional and collegiate athletes with their sports. We take care of athletes from all sports with the added experience and understanding that comes from have competed on the athletic field ourselves.
We have expanded our practice with surgeons who are skilled in partial and total joint replacement surgery, trauma care, and other non sports related musculoskeletal injuries.
