As medical director of the top two rodeo organizations in the world, Justin Sports Medicine Program (Pro Rodeo and Pro Bull Riding) and Professional Bull Riders Sports Medicine Program, Dr. Tandy R. Freeman has treated some of the toughest and most severely injured athletes-professional bull riders, rodeo cowboys and cowgirls. He has treated injures that occur when 2,000 lbs. of raging bull collide with the fragile human body or when the ballet of rider and horse goes awry.
Beyond rodeo, he was Team Physician of the Dallas Mavericks, where he kept superstar Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash in peak condition, was orthopedic consultant ot the Dallas Burn, was team physician of the Dallas Freeze of the Central Hockey League and has served as a member of the physician pool to the U.S. Ski Team.
