Dr. Jay D. Mabrey is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in disorders of the hip and knee. He is fellowship trained in total hip and total knee replacement, both primary surgery and revision surgery. He also has expertise in both hip and knee arthroscopy.

Dr. Mabrey uses the latest computer navigation techniques for his total knee replacements. He is also responsible for developing the Joint Wellness Program that enables patients to get up after surgery quickly while minimizing their post-operative discomfort.

Dr. Mabrey developed the first virtual reality surgical simulator for knee arthroscopy. He has also chaired the Orthopaedic Device Panel for the Food and Drug Administration. He is a consultant with a leading device manufacturer in developing a new computer navigation system for total knee replacement as well as developing the next generation of total knee replacements. Dr. Mabrey is also an oral examiner for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
